Wood construction from a sustainability perspective
The construction industry has a major responsibility in reducing CO2 emission and meeting the targets of the Paris Agreement. Here, the use of wood and biomaterials as the primary material choices in our new buildings is one of the most important tools to reduce CO2 emission.
Experience in Denmark with wood construction on a large scale is still limited. Mads H. Wagner from MOE will present a number of practical examples to illustrate the potential for reducing CO2 emission from wood construction at different scales compared to traditional solutions, and not least the experience with the many interdisciplinary challenges related to acoustics, fire, moisture, thermal indoor climate, degassing, etc.
